  6. Cover one of the patient├¡s eyes 
  7. with the occluder.  It is best to 
  8. always start by measuring the 
  9. right eye with the left eye 
  10. covered.

  12. The instrument should be set 
  13. to the VIEW setting with the 
  14. lever which is up on the body 
  15. of the instrument just in front 
  16. of the eyepiece.  This illuminates 
  17. the eye.  Position the instrument 
  18. with the joystick and vertical height 
  19. knob such that the crosshair is in 
  20. focus and centered in the pupil.
